All full-time equivalency (FTE) employees are eligible to participate in Friends' Central School’s 403(b) retirement plan. The School makes a generous matching contribution of 5% after one year of service. After five years of service and for employees who are 45 years of age or older, the School will match 10%. 

Friends’ Central School offers all employees who are full-time equivalency (FTE) the opportunity to participate in the School’s medical insurance plan. Employees can choose among three different plans which includes prescription and vision with open access to an in-service provider network as well as out-of-network benefits. 

FTE employees are eligible to participate in a group dental plan. 

Friends’ Central offers the opportunity for employees to enjoy tax savings by offering participation in flexible spending plans (FSA) and/or a health savings account (HSA). The School makes a contribution to the HSA (depending on medical plan enrollment) to all eligible employees who are enrolled at the beginning of the plan year. Employee premiums for FSA and HSA plans are deducted on a pre-tax basis.

Friends' Central School provides a life insurance benefit to FTE. The benefit amount is equivalent to one times an employee’s annualized salary, rounded up to the nearest $1,000.

Friends’ Central School provides a long-term disability plan for FTE. The LTD plan provides up to 60% salary replacement if an employee becomes seriously ill or disabled and is unable to work.

Friends’ Central School provides a short-term disability plan for FTE. The STD plan provides 100% salary replacement for up to 90 school calendar days. 

Upon approval, Friends’ Central will reimburse faculty who are pursuing an advanced degree or for coursework designed for certification or recertification.

In addition to school paid holidays, 10-month Friends' Central School FTE are granted sick and personal leave. FCS offers two weeks off for winter vacation and one week off for spring break. Employees who work a 12-month full time schedule are eligible for vacation time in addition to sick and personal leave. 

Friends’ Central School is committed to supporting the professional growth of each employee. Faculty may request professional development and may also be reimbursed for conferences and seminars during the school year.

Friends’ Central School offers a discount to eligible employees for our after-school program.

Lunch is discounted to all Friends' Central School faculty and staff daily during the school year.

Children of Friends' Central School 10-month employees receive a 50% discount on Summer Camp and Summer School. The children of Friends' Central employees who work during the summer may attend Summer Day Camp free of charge.
