 | As a Quaker school, Friends' Central supports healthy competition in athletics. Our program provides opportunities for leadership, elite competition, and all levels of participation. Our understanding of athletics extends beyond winning and losing, to the teaching of excellence in character. We encourage the growth and development of our students as athletes and as people. All students from nursery to grade 12 participate in athletics in some form. Whether it is movement classes designed for the very young or participation on a top team, Friends' Central students are learning the benefits of fitness, competition, and teamwork. Interscholastic competition begins in grade 6. Friends' Central is a member of the Friends Schools League. Each year many Friends' Central teams compete for championships. |
