The Story of the Detection of Gravitational Waves"

Barnard College Professor of Astrophysics Dr. Janna Levin is the author of - among several books - Black Hole Blues and Other Songs From Outer Space. She is also the director of sciences at Pioneer Works, a non-profit foundation in Brooklyn that fosters multidisciplinary creativity in the arts and sciences. The New York Times Book Review called Levin a writer who "harmonizes science and life with remarkable virtuosity." Levin has contributed to an understanding of black holes, the cosmology of extra dimensions, and gravitational waves in the shape of spacetime.
