On Friday, March 17 at 7 pm and Sunday, March 19 at 2 pm in Shallcross Hall (City Avenue campus), Friends' Central Middle School students presented Sally Cotter and the Censored Stone, the hilarious parody of all things Harry Potter.
Drama Director Julie Gordon shared, "It’s been an incredible pleasure to work with these students, teach them about comedic timing, and see their growth and skill in this genre of theatre. They have brought this play to life, and it was a real crowd pleaser for audiences of all ages"
Created by playwright and satirist Dean O'Carroll, Sally Cotter tells the story of Sally who falls asleep reading Harry Potter and has a dream about attending Frogbull Academy of Sorcery. In her dream, Sally meets a number of "characters," including Headmaster Albatross Underdrawers, Gamekeeper Ruebenon Ryebread, and Professor Shiftia Shape. Soon, she'll find out that danger is lurking, and it's up to Sally and her new friends to outsmart the evil Lord Murderdeath.
