Golf Team Bonds Over Spring Trip in Maryland

4/27/2012
The Varsity Golf team along with coaches Tom MacFarlane and Padraig Barry travelled to Ocean City, Md., last weekend for their spring trip.

The Phoenix golfers played 72 holes of golf over 48 hours on beautiful championship courses. The courses included Glen Riddle, Eagles' Landing, and the original Ocean City Golf Club. The playing groups were mixed up every round with a variety of formats being used including keeping track of putts, playing intra-squad match play, and skins games. An added benefit of the trip, was the experience gained on the courses in playing situations without the added pressure of an official school match. The team found time to bond as a team by going go-carting and to the boardwalk arcades. Several players had low scores for nine holes, including a 37 for JB Bradbeer '14, a 46 for Michael Furey '13, and a 52 for Adam Segall '14. The team also includes Peter Dissinger '14, Colin McCaffrey '13, and Henry Rohrer '14.

Without a doubt, this weekend's spring trip will assist the FCS Varsity Golf team on and off the golf course. Go Phoenix!
