Music and Voice Lessons

Friends' Central offers opportunities for private instruction by local professional musicians. Piano, violin, viola, and cello lessons are available to students beginning in grade 1. Trumpet, saxophone, clarinet, flute, guitar, and percussion instruments are added in grade 6. All instruments may be continued through grade 12.

Lower School Rainbow String Ensemble (RSE)

The RSE is open to students who have had at least one full year of lessons on an orchestral string instrument (either within or outside of the FCS instrumental program). The ensemble rehearses after school each Wednesday from October through May and performs several times during the school year.

Carl Bradley, Program Director, and Galen Guidon, Lower School Coordinator, administer the FCS instrumental program. Click here for a list of private instrumental music instructors.
