Music and Voice Lessons (Individual)

Friends' Central offers opportunities for individual private instruction by experienced local professional musicians. See below for available instruments by grade level. Case-by-case exceptions may be made for students with prior instrumental experience.  All instruments may be continued through grade 12. Individual lessons provide one-on-one instruction to encourage both technical and artistic growth. Lessons take place before, during, or after the school day at FCS at the mutual convenience of teacher and student. Twenty-six half-hour lessons will be scheduled weekly throughout the school year. Lessons will begin the first week of October.

New for 2021-2022 School Year: Due to continued COVID-19 concerns, The Private Music Lesson Program will be offered in a distanced format. This means that students and teachers will coordinate lesson times in a mutually agreed upon manner outside of school hours. We aim to transition the program back to in-person lessons for the spring semester contingent on recommendations from the school administration.
