Quaker Works Magazine

Quaker Works: The Magazine of Friends’ Central School is a publication of the Communications Office. It is sent to the entire School community twice a year. Its goal is to enrich the School community by connecting parents, alumni/ae and students, by sharing some of the many events that happen on campus and around the world, and by capturing, as best we can, the intellectual and spiritual vitality that characterize the Friends’ Central experience. Ink Upper School Lit Mag

Ink is the creative outlet for the Friends' Central community, dedicated to presenting written and artistic work created by the student body, for the student body. Appreciative Inquiry at FCS

Appreciative Inquiry at Friends' Central School provides insight into and revelations from the FCS community's yearlong Appreciative Inquiry exploration, sparked by the proposition that organizations create their most visionary and productive change when they begin long-range planning with a unified and shared understanding of what is already excellent.

Student Newspapers

Upper School

Focus

Focus is the official student newspaper of Friends' Central Upper School, published in print and online each month. Nearly 20 students are staffed in various teams, from reporting, to photography, to layout and design, to operations – working to publish rich, topical, and diverse pieces. The club is led by a student-editor and two faculty advisors. At its core, Focus strives to capture the heart of the School for the purpose of informing and entertaining the FCS community.

Upper School

FCS World Press
The Upper School student publication FCS World Press came into existence in the 2013-2014 school year and has been going strong ever since. A journal written by students, under the supervision of a faculty advisor, FCS World Press addresses current political and social issues. Published 4-6 times a year, its mission is to give background information on topics that have longevity so that readers can be more informed as they encounter those topics in the media.

The Phoenix Inquirer

The Phoenix Inquirer, the newspaper of Friends' Central Middle School, aims to serve as a resource for information and entertainment to all community members. The staff includes over 20 students and one faculty advisor who put together a published work created in the spirit of stewardship. Visit the Middle School news blog to read this online newspaper.

Phoenix Press
