Varsity Softball Are 2026 FSL Champions!

Friends’ Central Varsity softball won the Friends School League Championship for the spring 2026 season.

FCS softball's 10th FSL championship win, the final score was 6-4 against Shipley. For the current seniors, this was their second FSL championship title, and they were all incredibly pleased with the results and proud of the team.

“This was such an exciting way to finish off what has been a really wonderful season,” said Hannah Seidel-Nini ’26, “Beyond the success in the conference, I'm so proud to have been a part of this team. It's such an amazing group of young women who have shown up and supported each other in every way. The community we built this season is more important than any game we won, and I'm so grateful to have been a part of it.”

Sofia Bagarazzi ’26 also shared how happy she is not only with the team’s playing but also with the environment. “I’m so proud of our team this season,” she shared, “not simply for our execution, wins, flexibility, small size, attitude, and determination but for the inclusive and close environment on the team. I’ve never felt more connected or motivated than I did this season. I think that the 2026 FSL Softball Champions proved that you can be competitive and still have fun.”

"Everyone played so well this season," said Maddy Jackson ’26, "We had people playing in positions that they had never played in before, but over the season, everyone continuously practiced in those positions and improved their skills. The entire team put a lot of effort into every practice and game. I'm really proud to be a part of this team, and I definitely think that our hard work paid off.”
